CCMP Capital Advisors, LLC, based in New York City, is a successful private equity firm that specializes in what is known as growth capital transactions as well as leveraged buyout with their focus primarily on companies in the upper middle market. The firm was created after investment experts working for JP Morgan Partners left JPMorgan Chase. Since it’s inception, CCMP capital has managed to invest and upwards of twelve billion dollars in leveraged buyout and growth capital transaction rendering this firm as one of the world’s top twenty largest equity funds. They came in at seventeenth in 2007, and employ workers across the globe. CCMP Capital has offices located in Asia, specifically in Tokyo, Japan and Hong Kong and the United Kingdom, in London, not to mention Woodlands, Texas.

One man who facilitated the growth and prosperity of this diverse company was a man named Steve P. Murray.
Steve Murray was the president and CEO of CCMP Capital prior to his passing in the spring of 2015. After receiving his BA from Boston College, he earned a master’s degree from Columbia University, in business administration. Murray began his career, training as a credit analyst at Manufacturers Hanover Corporation. After a series of mergers and buyouts, Stephen Murray emerged as the CEO of CCMP.
