Fersen Lambranho is a Brazilian engineer and a successful entrepreneur. He is currently the Co-Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors for GP Investments, a Latin American alternative investment firm that has been in business for nearly 25 years. He has multiple degrees as well as having attended the Owner President Management Program at Harvard Business School. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and a Masters of Business Administration from the COPPEAD Graduate School of Business.
Lambranho began his career with GP Investments in 1998 and with his business partner, Antonio Bonchristiano, acquired the company for their own control in 2004. Since taking the leadership role in the company they have been able to expand its range of investments and increase the amount of equity funds that were able to be raised. GP Investments has seen numerous successes and has become a leader in the Latin American financial world. In 2006 it become the first Latin America investment firm to go public and the first to issue publicly traded perpetual debt. The company continues to raise funds from its investors that are used in strategic investments all over the world.
In addition to his financial career, Lambranho also acts as a mentor for other hopeful entrepreneurs, working with people in over 20 countries. He accomplishes this by volunteering his time to assist the non-profit organization Endeavor. He also is a sitting board member for the Mexico Advisory Board, Infrastructure Investment Committee and several organizations and non-profits. His resume also includes a long list of board committees he has dedicated his time to in the past. Lambranho also stays involved in the Brazilian art community along with his wife Paloma Lambranho, cofounding the group Patronos da Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paul.
