John Goullet has said that even though there are plenty of IT jobs out there, colleges still are not graduating enough students that the rate to keep up with what companies need today. So that’s why he’s doing all he can to meet these demands through connecting client companies with incoming workers at his company, Diversant, LLC. Goullet co-owns this company along with CEO Gene Waddy and it’s become one of the largest certified minority-owned businesses in the world. Goullet has helped Diversant grow from paying attention to the economic climate and introducing marketing strategies to Diversant that address labor demands. He’s always looking to stay one step ahead of competition through implementing new hiring initiatives.
John Goullet was once a candidate looking to make inroads with big corporations himself upon finishing up his bachelor’s degree at Ursinus College. He took on a broad array of computer technology matters from software development and support to networking administration and other consulting matters. The companies he worked with include the Constell Group, TSR Consulting, Computer Sciences Corporation and 3D Information. But several years later he decided it was time to enter the IT staffing market by starting his own business, and that was the start of Info Technologies. Info Technologies reached $30 million in funding in just five years, landing it on the list of Inc. Magazine’s fastest-growing fortune 500 businesses.
Goullet decided he needed to include a broader spectrum of workers over the years, and through a partnership he formed with Gene Waddy Info Technologies became Diversant, LLC as its new goal was diversity in the IT marketplace. Since that partnership Diversant has grown from its Newark, NJ base to now having offices in 11 different states including California, Texas and North Carolina.
John Goullet has turned Diversant into much more than a recruiting center by actually providing candidates with the tools they need to get the job done. They even offer benefits such as tuition reimbursement, 401k plans, insurance and paid leave. Diversant has also become connected with local charities and minority support groups such as PACE Monmouth and Harlem Business Alliance.
