Being from Florida the majority of his life, the businessman has competed in many competitions, both individual and group, and has found success when he placed second place in the Dolphin bracket at the Carolina Boat Builders Tournament and won a grand prize of $1012.50. He also received first place in the 79th annual Sailfish Derby as an angler.
