Sam Tabar, the Astute Business Leader and Legal Mind shows pretty clearly that Sam Tabar is a renowned linguist and event host, activities that he enjoys doing during his free time. He is well versed in the legal field and investment world. Having held various positions in different entities, he has dedicated his time and effort to building his career. He has worked as a lawyer and a capital strategist. Currently, Sam is based in New York City, and is a popular facet of the Twitter legal community.

Sam joined Oxford University, according to LinkedIn,  where he studied pursued his undergraduate studies. He graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts honors. Sam attended the Columbia Law School. During his stay, Sam worked as an associate editor for revered Columbia Business Law review. After completing his studies, Sam embarked on his career journey at Skadden, a prestigious global law firm. At the firm, he was appointed as an associate and his area of focus was counseling clients on compliance and regulatory issues, side letters, private placement memorandum employment issues as well as investments and investment management contracts.

Sam worked at Skadden for a period of three years before joining PMA Investment, a subsidiary of Sparx Group Co, a firm based in Hong Kong. Initially, he served as legal counsel before scaling up the career ladder to become the managing director and co-head of business development. Sam was registered success in managing global marketing functions and fostering investor relationships.

A strategic marketing plan that focused on high net worth clients, family enterprises, and large investment institutions was implemented by Mr. Tabar. Sam was able to help the firm raise $1.2 billion in assets. Through him, the firm had a rolodex of over 2000 investors that benefited from the firm. Sam worked closely with the founders of the firm while introducing new profitable ideas that enabled the firm to grow.

Later, Mr. Tabar joined the Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, where he was appointed as the Capital Strategy head and director. He was in charge of the Asia-Pacific area. His position allowed him to advise hedge fund clients on various investment concerns. Sam was able to sell the ideas of the bank to individuals, family enterprises, foundations, funds of funds and pensions. Fund managers and investors were able to benefit from the administration of capital allocation. Sam went back to his law career as he joined Adanac LLC, BVI, and Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP. He worked for the firm for a while before venturing out to focus on his investments.

Sam is highly affiliated to THINX. The company focuses on the provision of undergarments that supports women’s menstruation. During an event, Sam met Miki and Antonia, the owners of THINX, through a mutual friend. He had no plans of investing at THINX but after looking at the business plan, he was intrigued and decided to work with the two entrepreneurs. He has also invested in Verboten.
